For my ceramics problem, I was assigned to create one vessel, and one scultpure. At first, it was very hard for me to come up with ideas for each piece. I tried many different things for my vessel, and I just wasn't happy with any of them. I started twisting and rolling the clay, working absent-mindedly. I started to create a neat design, so I continued on with it. I then realized it looked like vines on a tree, so I painted it that color. For my sculpture, I wanted to do something abstract. I also tried many different things before my final piece that I did not like. I do like the way that it ended up. However, during our class critique (Of course minutes before I present,) a few pieces fell off. I did score and slip them, but I assume not enough. This was more of a frusterating challenge for me overall, but I did have fun doing it and I feel as if I've learned many things from it.
